Fokker Dr. 1

A Fokker Dr. 1, one of the best known fighter planes from the First World War, although only 320 of these were used by the German “Fliegertruppe” (flight troops). “Dr” stands for “Dreidecker” (triplane) with three wings and is best known for the successes that the “Red Baron” Manfred von Richthofen had in his dogfights, until he was shot down. It is displayed at the National Aviation Theme Park Aviodrome, the aerospace museum on Lelystad Airport.
